Aug: 12, Colby, Kansas / Aug 13, Norton, Kansas / Aug 15 & 16, Stockton, Kansas:
Kelly Larkin Made the trip to Kansas, thanks to Ryan Steward loaning Kelly his his Ducati. Kelly had not been on a big bike for some time but seemed to adapt OK. A 4th place finish in Colby, Norton and the 1st night of Stockton was the best finishes he could muster, but then the Ducati's clutch was slipping pretty bad the first three races and then some other problem arose (Motor missing) and he didn't even enter the last day of Stockton. Over all though, Kelly said the racing was great and he had fun racing the vintage open pro's where Davey Durell took home most of the money. We hope to get some pictures to put up soon.
AUG: 7 / 8 / 10 & 11 / 2009
Shaun 17g and Zack 7g made the race trip to Kansas with vintage rider Jerry Gates, Their first race was in Liberal, KS., where Zack ran 1st. Shaun rode a Yamaha 500 vintage bike, sponsored by King Kirk Anderson, but didn't fair so well as the bike was not running up to par. In the open expert class, Shuan ran and finished mid pack, A fifth place, just out of the money. The next day in Oberlin, KS. Zack garnered a 2nd place finish. Shaun Rode King Kirk's very nice Norton, but once again finished med pack in 4th place.. His Jim Wood prepped J & M Honda Framed CRF, broke the exhaust in half and that bike was done for the rest of the trip, as Shaun had forgotten to take his spare pipes. Kink Kirk put Shaun on the Norton again, both days in Stockton. Shaun made a very good run the 1st night. Aug 10, coming from bad start, the pit gate; Only to be dis-qualified for not making the grid on time. His excuse: He was helping Jerry gates, who had a bad get off, (breaking his pelvis in 2 places) make it to the Hospital and also looking after Jerry's bikes; then of course looking after Zack. Good excuse! But not good enough for the Ref; Oh Well?? Zack by the way finished 1st. Shaun rode in the Over 30 Rotax Class finishing in 5th position.
The 2nd night Aug 11; of racing, saw Zack make way to many mistakes, and he wound up in the 6th position in the main event. Shaun rode to 4th place once more in the Open vintage Twin class, after another not so good start. He just could not catch Mark Gibson's 24g very fast Triumph, or the 2 also fast and well ridden Harley's of Dallas Babcock 21g & Tim Lindfords 7x. Shaun then finished again in 5th place in the over 30 Rotax Class.Shaun would like to thank King Kirk Anderson for the rides on the very nice prepped Norton.

APRIL 20, 2009:
Racing here in Arizona has almost came to a stop. It appears that no one is willing to step up and run the very fine race track that we have here. Hopefully, we will be able to fix that problem before to long. If not? Shaun has been working 7 day weeks, so it looks as if, he will be trying to make a few races in CA.. And then hopefully the Sturgis run followed by the Kansas, circuit.
Sandia Classic / Albuquerque, NM.
We attended the Sandia Classic in New Mexico this past week-end. The racing was good through out the night, except for a dust problem. Kelly and Jim Wood each won their heat races and lined up side by side for the main event. Shaun missed his set up for the heat and had to take a back row start. Kelly stayed out front for 11 or 12 laps, before Jim Wood, carrying more speed into corner 1 made a pass. A J Eslick moved past Kelly the next lap, but then Kelly made an inside pass back on A J, running him a bit wide. Kelly regained 2nd, but had to fight off A J right to the checkered flag. Shaun in the mean time was moving up in the field. He moved to 5th place just behind Alex Wood, but could not muster enough speed to pass. Shaun finished 5th. He also finished 5th in the Mad Dog Race. Below are a few pictures from race. The final finish order was; 1st - Jim Wood / 2nd - Kelly Larkin / 3rd - A J Eslick / 4th - Alex Wood / 5th - Shaun Larkin / 6th - Jeff Bostic / 7th - Randy Belisle / 8th - Joey Raborn / 9th - Scoot Lee / 10th - David Huckabee
